Living the Morgan Corp. Culture

Social Contract

After several decades in business and faced with a rapidly growing organization, key leadership set out to identify a set of core values that made up the culture of Morgan Corp. Lo and behold, our Social Contract was born. All of our employees and projects encompass these values, and noticeably so. Each part of our Social Contract was intentionally written as an action, instead of a statement. These aren’t values we just hang on an office wall, but rather values we practice and standards we hold ourselves to consistently, no matter the situation.

Morgan Corp. is Built On:

Morgan Corp. began as Morgan Landscape Company in 1945. Its founder, Ladson Morgan, was a World War II veteran and native South Carolinian. Morgan Landscape Company offered ground clearing, repair, and site preparation to clients in and around Spartanburg, South Carolina.

The Johnson Family purchased the business in 1971 but retained the Morgan name as a nod to its beginnings and to Ladson. Morgan Corp. has since grown into one of the largest heavy civil construction companies in the Southeast.
