Operator Challenge 2025

Morgan Corp. is proud to recognize the incredible talent and skill showcased at our 2025 Operator Challenge. This year’s event brought together top operators from each of our divisions — all nominated by their leadership teams. Events like this provide dedicated time to celebrate their outstanding performance and dedication in the field.
Challenges
Our competitors went head-to-head in three precision-based events designed to reflect real-world challenges. Scores were based on contestants’ total time, with penalties added or bonuses deducted to calculate their total time.
Dozer Challenge
Participants must maneuver through the obstacle course and knock softballs off cones using either the cutting edge of the dozer blade or the attached PVC pipe. They cannot miss any balls and cannot knock over any cones.
Compact Track Loader (Skid Steer) Challenge
Participants lifted and carried a bucket of water using forks through a winding course. At the opposite end, they placed the bucket on a designated block for a ball pickup and placement intermission. Upon completion of the ball portion, they picked up the water bucket and resumed their course back to the starting point, with final placement of the bucket.
Excavator Challenge
Participants, again, traveled through a winding course carrying a bucket of water using only the boom, stick, and bucket. They carried the bucket to a beam and had to place and push it from one end of the beam to the other and back using the bucket or thumb. Upon completion, the next legs of the challenge included the tire stack, ball placement, and payload measurement. They would then return to the beam to retrieve their water bucket and carry it back to the finishing placement.
Family
But it wasn’t just about competition — it was a day of celebration! The operators’ families were invited to attend, cheer on their loved ones, and enjoy the full experience. The event featured a company cookout with great food, plenty of laughs, and a chance to come together as a Morgan family.
Training Team
It’s no secret that our trainers are crucial to the everyday process at Morgan– from helping green operators find their footing, to introducing cutting-edge technology to lifelong pros. They compile, vet, and execute training plans to help with any aspect of every machine to provide a holistic approach to learning for all of our employees.
The Operator Challenge is their time to look beyond a curriculum and show off their creative side! Designing challenges to push our operators in different ways than out in the field is no easy task. A testament to servant leadership, we are proud to shout out our training team as they continue to shape top-tier operators.

There’s no doubt that each candidate was in it to win it! Events like these shine a light on a little healthy competition and a whole lot of valuable camaraderie built between operators. To those who competed, supported, and celebrated with us – thank you for making this event a success!
