MC Celebrates Construction Safety Week 2024
Working in an industry with inherent risks, it is paramount that we not become complacent with routine work and tasks on the job. Construction Safety Week 2024 is, “an opportunity for people, companies, and our entire industry to join together, celebrate and re-commit to doing whatever it takes to send everyone home safely every day.”
Construction Safety Week also gives us a great opportunity to focus on Morgan’s 2024 Safety Initiative – Project Performance. The better we perform, the more creative we must become in our pursuit of continuous improvement. We provide training, evaluation, and incentive in support of this safety initiative as we continuously strive for excellence.
To top off a week of safety training and events, our team conducted over 900 safety training hours for April and set a company record of 154,001 employee hours worked this month, officially surpassing 3.5 million manhours worked without a lost-time injury.
Safety Manager Ann said, “ We’re proud to celebrate the successes of our teams and our shared commitment to being #builtonsafety. In the Raleigh Division, we celebrated Safety Week with several demonstrations by Gregory Poole CAT, Kito Crosby and Mazzella Companies to our site teams. We discussed entering and exiting machines, 3 points of contact, preventing falls, lifting and rigging and how to prevent musculoskeletal injuries. We were reminded why we work and to whom are we going home to each night…our families.”
