Hitchcock Woods Cleanup
Hitchcock Woods, the largest privately-owned urban forest in the US, is renowned by the Aiken community and known for its 2,100 acres and 70 miles of trails. About 8 months ago, it was majorly affected by Hurricane Helene and is still projected to have about a year of work ahead.
We have been working with DPR Construction for a few days to help clear the high-visibility entrance way. The Hitchcock Woods Foundation has already restored 68 of its 70 trails, but there is still much to do before they return to their full glory.
