CAT Global Operator Challenge
Last week 11 of our operators traveled to Blanchard Machinery in Columbia, South Carolina to compete in a series of timed challenges to determine the best operator statewide. Caterpillar dealerships around the world host this challenge annually, ending with a competition for the best operator globally. Operators from Morgan Corp. were nominated by their division and management teams to compete in this year’s challenge.
We’re proud to announce that one of our Raleigh operators, Dylan Camden, placed second overall out of 60+ participants. He had a time of 1 minute and 40 seconds on the Dig n Swing Excavator event and 2 minutes and 49 seconds for the Stay on Track Skid Steer course.
Operator Will Franklin placed third in the Precision Push event and took first in the bonus Basketball challenge. Operators picked up basketballs from a cone with the forks on a loader and dropped the basketballs into the basket, 3 times. Most times were in the 3 ½ to 5-minute range. Will came in with a final time of 1 minute and 20 seconds, much to the surprise of the CAT representatives working the event.
Congratulations to the following operators for representing Morgan at this year’s event: Dylan Camden, Israel Wilkins, Dillon Reome, Matt Mitchell, David Atkinson, Jose Jimenez, Will Franklin, Mike Swinton, Rudy Rose, Garett Beckum, and David Drake.
